WHAT IS A SOUNDBATH?
A soundbath is an experience in which instruments– such as crystal and brass singing bowls, bells, and chimes–are played in a way that relaxes your body, calms your mind, and ignites your inner awareness. The goal is to guide you into a deeply meditative state while you're enveloped in ambient sounds.
HOW DO I LISTEN?
Soundbaths are best experienced laying down, however if you are unable to comfortably lay in the floor, you can enjoy from a seated position, too. Wear comfortable clothing and please feel free to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye mask, cushion–anything that will bring you the most comfort.
ABOUT THE PRACTITIONER:
Originally from Enfield, Illinois, Amber Nichols holds a bachelors degree in Music Education from Southern Illinois University, a masters degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University and is a yoga instructor and soundbath practitioner. Her love and understanding of music as a modality for healing and restoration led her to soundbath certification. Historically, soundbaths have been used as a way to connect to our soul and spirituality.

With specific and easily understandable exercises and epiphanies, The Wizard of Us harkens to the classic tale and defines the hero’s journey through the skills and internal qualities that live within each of us. If you are seeking a creative exploration of self-understanding, realization, and improvement you will find a connection to the larger world story as you explore Oz like never before. “There’s no place like home” is the call to a profound journey of self-discovery and untapped potential. Dorothy’s journey through a magical land is the key to your own inner-life’s journey and toward becoming the essential human you were always meant to be.
Once we have an idea of how many plan to participate and have the books in the shop we'll set the date for our meeting.
